En luft til luft varmepumpe består af to dele: En indedel og en udedel.

I udedelen er der en kompressor, som bruger den varme, der er i luften og overfører varmen til indedelen. Indedelen blæser herefter varmen ud i rummet, den befinder sig i, i den temperatur, du ønsker.

Det betyder, at en luft til luft varmepumpe kan fungere både til opvarmning i vinterhalvåret og til nedkøling, som aircondition, i sommerhalvåret.

Hvorfor luft til luft varmepumpe?

Hvis du i dag benytter opvarmning ved elradiator, traditionel radiator eller brændeovn, vil du formentlig nikke genkendende til, at luften og varmen kan opleves som værende tung. Det kan blandt andet skyldes, at temperaturen er svær at styre.

Kig efter tallet SCOP i varmepumpeproducentens produkt ark. Tallet angiver forholdet mellem den mængde strøm en varmepumpe forbruger, kontra den mængde varme den producerer. Det betyder, jo højere SCOP varmepumpen har, des mere effektiv og energibesparende er den. Gennemsnitligt koster 1 kW 2-3 kr. afhængig af el-leverandør, hvorimod ved anvendelse af varmepumpe koster 1 kW 50-70 øre.

Det skal dog påpeges, at den endelige besparelse er meget individuel og flere forhold spiller ind, såsom varmepumpens kvalitet, korrekt valg af varmepumpe i forhold til dimensioner, behov og øvrige forhold.
